About Me (Professionally)
I’ve worked in caring roles since 1989, when I commenced my Registered General Nurse training. I enjoyed working on medical wards and a HIV & AIDS unit.
My interest in the psychological side of care led me to train as a counsellor, working in GP practices. I gained in experience working with two amazing charities: MIND and 2Care (now The Richmond Fellowship), and Manchester Drug Service working with people experiencing heroin, crack and other addictions.
Discovering CBT was a turning point, and I went on to train as a CBT therapist and later an EMDR therapist. EMDR is a powerful approach that helps people move beyond trauma and negative self-beliefs, and I’m pleased to offer it alongside CBT.
I bring knowledge, experience, warmth and compassion to my work, and I value a collaborative, empathic and genuine approach with clients.

About Me (Personally)
I love being outdoors- tending my allotment, walking in wild places, and spending time on the beach collecting shells and sea glass. Nature and animals are important to me, and my rescue dogs and cats have brought a lot of joy to my life over the years.
When I’m indoors, you’ll often find me crafting, making rag rugs, knitting or creating Kwandi quilts. I enjoy films, theatre, reading, and catching up with friends over a brew.
